About Empire City Chinese Restaurant

Empire City Chinese Restaurant is one of the chinese restaurants listed in Utica, New York. The business is registered at 913 Court St, Utica, NY 13502; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Utica keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. Its Google rating is 3.5 out of 5 from 105 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Utica is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Utica follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Awful! If I could give 0 stars I would. Placed order at 7pm. When it was delivered the sauce was missing from my meal. I immediately called them back, said they would deliver. 40 minutes goes by, I call for an update. The sauce still hadn't been collected by the driver!! By 9:25pm I call to get a refund. I'm told that the person answering the call can't authorize a refund. I asked to speak to the manager. I was put on hold for quite some time. The person then returns and says he will need to call the manager "Lisa" and he will then call me back. I never did receive a call back. 9:30pm the sauce finally arrives, but by this time it is too late for me to eat. I ordered at 7pm, food didn't arrive in full until 9:30pm!!!! I did not want to go to bed on a full stomach of food, so the money I paid for my order was completely wasted!! NEVER AGAIN! Appalling customer service.

Literally ordered beef lo mein for my children, called to tell them they took the wrong order she never repeated it over the phone or nothing. I tipped extra just cause they came quickly. But they came quickly with the wrong food. So now my kids eat nothing because they no longer have a “delivery person” till 5. I work in two restaurants. This isn’t a way you handle business by telling me to come over to the restaurant and get the correct food. Absolutely dissatisfied. Never again

Food was delicious, only thing I didn’t really like were the dumplings. But the house special fried rice was awesome and fresh not sticky and in a big clotted together heap, the no less spareribs were delicious, sweet and sour chicken was great, wonton soup was awesome through and through! And the beef on a stick was to die for! Love this place!! Will order again soon! And a big plus was NO MSG since my sister is very allergic to it!

Delivered on the day we got snowed in by three feet of snow. They have a special place in my heart bc of that. Very easy to work with and delivered within thirty minutes of placing my order. Also, there is a choice on how spicy you want your food, which was very nice. The food itself was really good but not as fresh as my regular Chinese place. Overall, 4 and a half stars :D
